Live music every week

Gozo is all about the live outdoor events, and this year Malta’s sister isle is organising different days where live music will be performed including: Marsalforn Mondays (6th July – 14th September), City Tuesdays at St George’s Square (7th July – 15th September), Qala Wednesdays at St Joseph’s Square (8th July – 16th September), Xaghra Thursdays at Victory Square (2nd July – 17th September) and Mgarr Fridays (3rd July - 18th September) . Xlendi Sunset Festival

Being held on Saturday 18th July at Xlendi Bay, Xlendi Sunset Festival will bring awesome vibes to your fun night out. Starting at 6pm, it’s an event for all the family to enjoy. The festival has a jam-packed line-up featuring none other than beloved Gozitan band The Travellers. This is the event’s third edition and food and drink stalls will be opened throughout the night. Mhux ha tiffjakka!

Hondoq by Night

Get your groove on at the ninth edition of Hondoq by Night on Saturday 25th July at the stunning Hondoq ir-Rummien Bay. The live concert will feature none other than local pop star Ira Losco, one of Gozo’s favourite bands Cash & Band, and a new addition to the festival: Rebecca & the Passengers. The night will be closed off with DJ sets by Ryan Spiteri, Micimago and Darco. It’s going to be a fantastic evening, with the area decorated with lanterns and special effects to give off the ultimate magical atmosphere. Tickets can be bought at the entrance.

Dusk Till Dawn

Also being held at Hondoq Bay, the first edition of Dusk Till Dawn is being brought to you by Euphoria Events on Friday 31st July from 8pm well into the early hours of the morning.  A hot line-up of local DJs is expected as well as a performance by international star VOETWERK. Tickets can be bought here or from selected runners.

DCapitals [email protected]

The fifth edition of DCapitals Big Band is being held at the Cittadella Ditch as part of the Cittadella Arts Festival 2020 on 1st August at 9pm. The concert will be conducted by Mro George Apap and will also feature a performance by this year’s X Factor Malta winner, Destiny Chukunyere. Resident singers will also be taking the stage, including Francesca Sciberras, Jolene Samhan, Fabian Galea and Nathaniel Attard.

Summer in the Square

Some great activities will be happening at Xewkija's square this summer. Running every weekend from Saturday 1st August to Saturday 29th August, Summer in the Square is the perfect setting for your evenings out in Gozo. With live music and even the Gozo International Food Festival happening here, it's an event to pencil into your calendar.

Sax Under the Stars

This one’s for the foodies! With the stunning Xwejni Saltpans as its backdrop, the fourth edition of Sax Under the Stars is being held on Saturday 8th August and. Food prepared by Head Chef Rubert Azzopardi will be served at the all white attire event, with spectacular wine paired by the internationally awarded French Sommelier Fabien Etienne. If this doesn’t get you drooling, we don’t know what will! Your meal will be accompanied by the musical stylings of George Curmi on saxophone, violin and clarinet, followed by a set by Gozitan band Cash & Band.

The Gozo Traditional, Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition

Villa Rundle Gardens will be hosting the Agricultural and Crafts Fair this year on 14th and 15th August. An interesting atmosphere filled with all-things Gozitan is waiting for you, including agricultural and craft produce, livestock, plants, traditional characters, and of course scrumptious local food.

Gozo Film Festival

This one’s for the film junkies! The fourth edition of the Gozo Film Festival is being held between Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd August. Films will be screened against the Cittadella’s walls and is perfect for your weekend family outing. The three-day event will promote local and international filmmakers, with feature films, short movies, a children’s programme, documentaries and more being screened.

Out of time exhibition

The month long exhibition happening between 11th September and 11th October will feature a selection of works of artist Vince Briffa from the last 10 years. The exhibition is about Briffa’s own concern of humans’ relationship with time and what it means to exist temporally in what we know to be our lifetime. Art enthusiasts can visit the exhibition at Arthall on Wednesday to Saturday between 10am and 1pm and 5pm and 7pm and on Sundays between 10am and 12pm.
