Heads up: These NINE Maltese localities are undergoing power cuts this weekend

A few localities around the islands are set to undergo planned power cuts this weekend due to maintenance works on the country’s hard-at-work power grid.

Fortunately, Enemalta, our local electricity provider, has published a list of localities that will be undergoing some planned maintenance works over the weekend. This way, you too can plan ahead.

These maintenance works are carried out regularly to ensure that the national electricity grid operates safely. 

Only select streets from the following localities will be affected.  

Here’s the full list of affected areas.

Saturday 5th November:

  • St Julian’s from 5am to 12pm
  • St Paul’s Bay from 7am to 2pm
  • San Gwann from 8:30am to 3pm
  • Xaghra from 6am to 12pm
  • Mellieha from 6am to 3pm
  • Birzebbuga from 7am to 1pm

Sunday 6th November:

  • Valletta from 4am to 10:30am, from 12:30am to 1:15pm, and from 4am to 4:45am
  • Xewkija from 6am to 6pm
  • Attard from 8am to 5pm
