First rainfall of 2023 hits Malta & Gozo! What’s the rest of the week looking like?
This comes as great news after an extremely dry December!

After the driest December ever recorded in Maltese history, the month of January is looking way more promising after the first rain of 2023 hit the country last night.

In fact, a total of 2.4mm of rain fell across many localities including Mosta, Valletta, Floriana, Hal Luqa, Msida, Kalkara and Haz-Zebbug, amongst others.

According to the local weather page, ‘Aggornament ta’ Temp’, the rain was caused by a cloud that formed over Malta earlier during the day.

They also predicted that further rain is possible throughout today and tomorrow so make sure to carry around an umbrella with you!

It’s also about to get a whole lot colder with temperatures significantly dropping this coming Monday.

Is winter finally approaching?
