Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem has been a highly popular Christmas attraction for the past decade or so, as locals and tourists alike flock to the quaint Gozitan village to get a glimpse of what Jesus’ birthplace was actually like.

Every year, families would be given the opportunity to walk around this realistic rendition of the Palestinian town whilst witnessing actors re-enacting villagers’ old ways-of-life.

Last year, to the disappointment of many, the attraction couldn’t take place due to the COVID-19 restrictions implemented at the time…

Lucky for us, just a couple of days ago Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem took to social media to announce that it will be making a comeback in a couple of days – although with a couple of small changes.

“It is a pleasure to announce the 12th edition of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, the nativity village spread over 25,000 square metres of land where you can experience the greatest story ever told,” the attraction wrote on social media.

This year, “visitors will be requested to book their entrance online whilst a vaccine certificate will be required upon entrance.”

Visitors aged 12 and under will not be required to present their vaccine certificate, although they will still need to book their place from before.

“The visit will take place in the form of a walk-through experience of around 30 minutes. Places are limited. Visitors will be asked to wear a face mask at all times and cannot return back,” the attraction concluded.
